Korean League of Legends team BNK FEARX have announced the moving of ADC player Nam “Diable” Dae-geun to their LCK Challenger League (LCK CL) team after breaches in “internal rules and basic commitments”

Announced in a post on Twitter/X on April 28, the demotion and roster shift sees Diable replaced by Kim “Slayer” Jim-young as the former joins the roster of BNK FEARX Youth.

FEARX moves ADC to challenger league roster in seemingly disciplinary move

Diable has been widely hailed as one of the most talented young players in the LCK, Korea’s highest tier of competitive League of Legends. But today’s announcement paints a picture of severe disagreements between Diable and his team.

In a post detailing their reasoning, FEARX explained the move:

“...in relation to Diable, there was a recent incident in which he did not fulfill his commitment to attend a scheduled fan meeting, despite continued efforts by the organization and coaching staff to encourage his participation until the very end.”

“We believe that honoring commitments to fans and maintaining professionalism are values that must never be taken lightly.”

The post went on to explain that this wasn’t the only issue the organization had faced with Diable:

“There have been repeated instances in which internal rules and basic commitments were not properly observed, the organization has decided to place Diable on send-down status. As Diable is a symbolic player who developed through our youth system, we fully understand that this decision may be difficult for some to understand from an external perspective. “There have been repeated instances in which internal rules and basic commitments were not properly observed, the organization has decided to place Diable on send-down status. As Diable is a symbolic player who developed through our youth system, we fully understand that this decision may be difficult for some to understand from an external perspective.

Nevertheless, while short-term performance is important, we believe it is also the responsibility of the organization to guide players toward becoming better professionals. We are continuing to review potential additional measures as necessary. We hope that this action will serve as an opportunity for Diable to reflect and grow further as a professional player.”

The post also explained further roster moves within FEARX, including the a swap in midlaners.

BNK FEARX is currently in seventh place in the LCK 2026 season, with a 2-6 record, putting them firmly in the bottom half of the table. With poor performances, and a drastic roster shift, it’s perhaps hoped that the organzation can see a turn around.

However, with giants such as T1, undefeated KT Rolster, and 7-1 Hanwha Life Esports in the same bracket, FEARX’s changes may just be a drop in the ocean.
