Finals bound: The last three standing at PGL Wallachia Season 7

Upper bracket is for…

Yes, Team Liquid have done it again. Dropped to the lower bracket on the first day of the playoffs, Team Liquid is now one series away from making a full comeback and reaching the grand finals at PGL Wallachia Season 7. More so, they also pulled the most impressive comeback of the year in the process.

Game 2 in the lower bracket quarterfinal series against HEROIC was looking grim for Liquid, who at the 60-minute mark were nearly 35k gold behind and were defending their last barracks, trying to prevent HEROIC from securing mega creeps. However, a perfect initiation on Santiago "TaiLung" Gustavo’s a bit too advanced Beastmaster, followed by a timely buy back from Michał "Nisha" Jankowski on Storm Spirit, allowed Liquid to mount a comeback. They made a 10K gold swing in just that fight alone and dragged the game out for 20 more minutes, forcing a megas vs megas type of ending and eventually eliminating HEROIC from the tournament.

Liquid will be facing off against BetBoom Team in the lower bracket finals this Sunday, March 15. The latter were sent to the lower bracket finals by Team Yandex, who, despite having to travel to Bucharest, Romania, with Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin standing in for Evgeniy "Noticed" Ignatenko, had a smooth run through the group stage and the playoffs bracket. They are the first grand finalist at PGL Wallachia S7, securing a third grand finals presence this season.

Finals day schedule:

What to watch for on Sunday

Can Liquid complete the Lower Bracket run?

Few things are more dangerous in Dota 2 than Team Liquid getting momentum through lower bracket matches.

Will BetBoom finally break through?

BetBoom has been knocking on the door for a few months now. They placed 4th in the previous Wallachia season, and a championship title here would put them closer to a possible direct invite to The International 2026.

Is Yandex unstoppable?

Team Yeandex have already delivered big surprises. They closed the 2015 year with a championship title at DreamLeague Season 27. They never dropped below the top 4 ever since, and this is already their third grand final of the season. A full day of rest could make them even more dangerous in the grand finals.

Whether it will be Yandex completing their dominant run, Liquid making another lower bracket comeback , or BetBoom finally claiming a title, PGL Wallachia Season 7 will decide its champions on Sunday. So, stay tuned to rdy.gg for full coverage of the grand finals.
